While chasing a target of 154 runs in the second innings of the game, the Adelaide Strikers got off to a fine start with the opening duo of Matthew Short and Jake Weatherald adding 45 runs for the first-wicket partnership. Melbourne Renegades left-arm chinaman bowler Zahir Khan dismissed Short in the fifth over. However, 19-year-old Jake Fraser-McGurk then stunned everyone with an outstanding one-handed flying catch on the mid-wicket boundary line to send back Jake Weatherald.
