West Indies flamboyant all-rounder and KKR's sweetheart Andre Russell was following the trend which is on song in the market, i.e the live chat session. The mighty all-rounder was involved in an Instagram session of Kolkata Knight Riders where he revealed the bowler he would rather face between Jasprit Bumrah and Rashid Khan.
In the live chat session, ‘Dre-Russ' revealed that he would rather face Rashid Khan instead of Jasprit Bumrah. Here's a glimpse of his session;
Both Jasprit Bumrah and Rashid Khan are bowlers with high caliber. Rashid has been the leading spinner in the shortest format of the game and since 2016, he has taken the most no of wickets in T20s.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is India's leading white-ball bowler who has made a name for himself at a very early stage of his career. He made his debut in 2016 and has emerged as the second-highest wicket-taker in T20Is for India. He is only proceeded by Yuzvendra Chahal who stands at the top for most wickets for India in T20Is.
In the KKR unplugged session, the hard-hitting all-rounder also emphasized on the fact that he would love to play for IPL till the time he hangs his boots.
“Just like players in big (football) leagues like English Premier League, or the Basketball guys (at NBA) retiring from the sport say ‘okay, this is my last game' and they wave goodbye to the crowd — I imagine I would love to be at KKR until that moment in my career,”
He further added;
“I'd say, Listen, Shah Rukh (KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan), all the KKR staff, everyone. This will be my last IPL and the last home game playing in Kolkata.' It would be such an emotional moment.
Andre Russell has been a part of the KKR Franchise since 2014 and six years are enough for someone to have an emotional affair with the team.
