Cameron Green injury: As seen in the last five or six years, it has been really challenging for the visiting teams to compete in Indian conditions especially in the longest format of the game. Australia managed to win their last Test series in India back in 2004 and since then, things have been a lot worse for the Aussies facing the spinners in these conditions. The Aussie team have now lost two Test matches inside as many as six playing days at the hands of hosts India in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 four-match Test series.

The biggest positive news coming from the visiting Australian camp is that their premier all-rounder Cameron Green has fully recovered from his finger injury and is available for selection in the upcoming third Test match against India scheduled to be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore starting from 1 March, 2023. Incidentally, he sustained a fracture on his finger while playing the Boxing Day Test match against South Africa at home but also scored a courageous fifty in that game despite battling a lot of pain. Green’s inclusion in the Australia playing 11 for the third Test match will surely bring a lot of balance and stability in the visitors’ line-up. In his short Test career, Green has scored a total of 806 runs and taken as many as 23 wickets from 28 Test matches so far.
