Complete List of Players with Base Price of 2 Crore, 1.5 Crore and 1 Crore for IPL 2024 Auction

On 1st December, the IPL shared a long list of 1166 players who had registered for the auction with the franchises. It might be named as a ‘Mini Auction’, but is it ‘Mini’? It is almost a ‘Mega Auction’ where we can see some world-class stars will be bid by the 10 franchises. The franchises have a total of 77 slots to fill at the IPL Auction on December 19 in Dubai.

Making a good squad is as important as performing in an IPL season. In that case, the management needs to focus on how they perform on the auction table.

The Auction, this year, will mostly hover around the Australian players. Sixteen Australians have registered their names in this auction who have set their base prices INR 1 Crore and above. Seven of these sixteen players were in the ICC World Cup 2023 Squad who have set the base price of INR 2 Crore each.

The 2 Crore list features 4 Indian players who have been released from their franchises. The most significant is Harshal Patel who was in Royal Challengers Bangalore for the last 3-4 years. Both Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav have been released by Kolkata Knight Riders. And most surprisingly, Kedar Jadhav who had been with RCB camp and hardly played any match also registered his name in the 2 Crore section.

Foreigners like Adil Rashid, Gerald Coetzee, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Rilee Rossouw and Angelo Mathews are some deserving candidates on this list.

From a long list of 1166 players, The final pool, however, will be much smaller after the teams submit the names of players they are interested in. The long list includes 45 players from Associate nations, 909 uncapped players of which 812 are Indian, and 18 capped Indian players.
