After losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya revealed that Lockie Ferguson continues to miss out of selection for the second consecutive match. The Kiwi fast bowler was first left out of the playing 11 in the previous game against Lucknow Super Giants as part of a tactical decision. It looks as a shocking selection call by the Gujarat Titans team management as Lockie had been bowling really fast this season and was also picking wickets at regular intervals.

“We would have batted first too. There are two options. We can come in today and let things drift away and the second thing is we can show we can play like a number one team, show our character no mater what the pitch or the heat is like. Same team for us,” said Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya during the toss.
