Who won today’s IPL match?: After suffering four straight losses, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) locked horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the match 22nd of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The Ravindra Jadeja-led side dominated the opposition for the most part of the game and brilliantly closed the game to register their first win of the season by a margin of 23 runs.

Invited to bat first, CSK had a horrendous start as they first lost Ruturaj Gaikwad for 17 runs and then later Moeen Ali was run out for just 3 runs. Just when it seemed that Ravindra Jadeja-led side would succumb to pressure. But it was Robin Uthappa (88) and Shivam Dube’s (95*) show after that. The duo showed no mercy to RCB bowlers and tonked them all over the park for their 165 runs partnership. Their staggering partnership in the end helped CSK post a mammoth total of 216 runs on the board.

Chasing the target, RCB lost their top-4 in Faf du Plessis (8), Anuj Rawat (12), Virat Kohli (1) and Glenn Maxwell (26) for just 50 runs to put themselves in deep trouble. However, after that it was debutant Suyash Prabhudessai (34) and Shahbaz Ahmed (41) to steadied the innings of RCB to keep their hopes alive. But Maheesh Theekshana four-wicket haul’s put RCB in the back seat again. Dinesh Karthik (34) then brought his side back in the game with his cameo but in the end target was too much as CSK completed a 23 runs victory.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Shivam Dubs was awarded Man of the Match in today’s IPL encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The southpaw played an exceptional knock of unbeaten 95 runs and helped his side registered their first win of the season. Batting at No.4, Dube came out all guns blazing and smashed RCB bowlers all over the park to take CSK’s score to 216 runs. His knock was laced with 5 fours and 8 sixes.
