Here’s what MS Dhoni charged for his biopic: MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is regarded as one of the finest and most successful Biopics made by the Indian Film Industry.  The movie based one of India’s most popular cricketing figures, also made records in the Box Office by collecting a staggering 216 crores.

How much did MS Dhoni receive?

However, a few people still ponder as to how much did the former Indian captain charge the film makers for giving the green light for his biopic. As per several reports, MS Dhoni charged a whopping 60 crores, which he did end up receiving.

The film was directed by Neeraj Pandey, and was under the Fox Studios banner, with Arun Pandey being the producer of it.  Sushant Singh Rajput played the role of the World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni with utmost precision and was regarded as his finest performance.

There were talks about the movie working on a sequel, but the tragic suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput last year has put all those plans to a halt.

MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020, and his last game for Team India was in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi final against New Zealand. Dhoni, who was India’s last hope and was run out for 50 runs by Martin Guptill as the Kiwis secured a win by 18 runs to advance into the finals.

However, ‘Captain Cool’ continues to lead Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, and has no intention of calling it quits in the star studded league at this very moment. CSK had a poor season the last time around, but  have once again showed their true quality in the first half of IPL 2021.

The Yellow army were 2nd in the league table with 10 points from seven games before the BCCI decided to suspend the tournament until further notice. As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic in India, there are speculations that the remaining fixtures of the IPL could be hosted in England or UAE later this year.
