ENG Playing 11: England’s first ODI assignment since Eoin Morgan’s retirement will be against India. The newly appointed white-ball skipper Jos Buttler and his troops will be hosting India for a 3-match ODI series commencing from July 12 at the Oval.
The first ODI will be played at the Oval, whereas, the remaining two ODIs will take place at Lord’s on July 14 and at the Emirates Old Trafford on July 17. The series is definitely going to be an exiting one as both teams are stalwarts of ODI cricket and have been quite dominant in the format in recent times. The ECB has announced two different squads for the T20I and ODI series and the likes of Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow are the notable names who have been recalled in the ODI squad. What will be England’s eleven in the first ODI? Let’s take a look.
Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Craig Overton, Phil Salt, Ben Stokes, Matthew Parkinson, David Willey, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Reece Topley
