ENG vs IND Live

ENG vs IND: It is always a treat to witness Test cricket in England only if there are no rain interruptions. However, the rain gods have constantly interrupted the proceedings in the ongoing first Test match between England and India. Rain has already played a substantial role in disrupting the entertaining cricket action on the second and third days of the Test match and things are really looking bleak on the final day in Nottingham as well.

When is Play Expected to Start on Day 5?

England got bowled out for 303 runs in the second innings courtesy a brilliant five-wicket haul by India pacer Jasprit Bumrah. However, English captain Joe Root was surely the star performer on Day 4 of the first Test scoring a scintillating hundred in some tough conditions and against a quality India bowling attack. The current scenario is that India need a total of 157 runs with 9 wickets in hand to win this Test match but it is literally pelting down at the moment in Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The first session of play has already been washed out as the umpires were forced to call for an early lunch break.

However, the positive news is that weather is expected to clear around 8: 30 PM IST and play can be stretched to midnight 12 AM IST. According to recent sources, it looks like rain has finally stopped at Trent Bridge and the groundstaff are at work now.
