ENG vs NZ Stats Preview

In the first Test match at Lord’s host England registered a hard fought draw and they should thank rain too as one day of the match was washed out. Their batting in the first innings was very poor as except centurion Rory Burns other batsmen disappointed and their young players like Ollie Pope, Dan Lawrence etc need to play better shots and captain Root too has to convert his starts and in bowling they will hope the duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad will come good along with Mark Wood.
On the other side, New Zealand put up a good performance in Lord’s. Debutant Devon Conway scored a double hundred and other batsmen except Kane Williamson made useful contributions and in this match captain Kane and Ross Taylor too have to perform and then in bowling Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, Neil Wagner need to continue their good form and the return of Trent Boult will boost their confidence further.
