SL Playing 11: A struggling Sri Lanka will face an in-form England in the 2nd ODI of the series here at the Oval, London. Things have not gone Sri Lanka’s way on this tour. Not only they have suffered big losses, but have also lost their key players due to various reasons. The visitors need a win desperately in order to gain some confidence. England leads Sri Lanka in overall head-to-head record in ODIs 37-36. In the ODI rankings, England are ranked 4th as compared to Sri Lanka’s 9th.

Team News
With several main players out of the team, SL have an inexperienced squad to choose their eleven from. Praveen Jayawickrama bowled just one over in the last match. He might be replaced by Dhananjaya de Silva to boost their fragile batting order.

Kusal Perera played a brilliant innings in the last match even as wickets tumbled from the other end. SL needs him to fire at the top given the inexperience of rest of the batting line-up. Hasaranga also showed that he can contribute with the bat as a genuine all-rounder. Chameera has been SL’s biggest positive this series. He has bowled with a lot of heart and pace and has been causing problems for England batters consistently.
