It is like an unsaid fact that veteran cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not going to don the Indian Cricket team jersey post CWC 2019.

Based on the current form that India is in, it can be said that the team are favorites for World Cup 2019, if India is able to win it and mark a history it is going to be the first world cup for Kohli as a captain and an amazing way to bid farewell to the one who helped the Indian Cricket Team lift the world cup after 28 long years.

BCCI on Dhoni’s retirement

“You never know with MS Dhoni. But it is unlikely that he will continue to play for India after this World Cup. But since his decisions to quit captaincy from the three formats have been taken so suddenly, it is very difficult to predict at the moment,” PTI quoted a senior BCCI official on condition of anonymity.

The PTI report also said there was no word on Dhoni’s retirement from either the team management or BCCI.

“However, with India qualifying for the semi-finals at the World Cup here, neither the team management nor the BCCI wants to talk about a sensitive issue,” the PTI report stated.
