With 9 runs needed off the last over, the game saw another twist as Rahul Tewatia was also run out for 3 runs on the third delivery. Daniel Sams stood tall for MI and defended the score to help his side win their second match of the season.
Mumbai Indians batsman Tim David was awarded the Player of the match in today’s IPL 2022 encounter against Gujarat Titans in Mumbai. The right-hander came to bat when MI found themselves tumbling at 119/4. He played a brutal of 44 runs in just 21 balls to help his side post a total of 177 runs on the board. David’s knock was laced with 2 fours and 4 sixes and it also proved out to be the difference between the two sides.
