Raksha Bandhan, one of the most auspicious occasions in India which cherished the relation of a brother and sister was celebrated on Sunday across the country.
Just like other brothers of the country, Indian cricketers also celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and took to social media platforms to send their heartfelt wishes to all the sisters out there.
While Indian cricketers who are away from their homes due to national commitments sent their wishes through social media expressing their longing whereas those who enjoyed the special day with their loved ones also shared the pictures on social media platforms.
Indian batting legend and former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar shared a video clip with his sister and captioned the image as, “Memories will always be there forever and the bond of love always grows stronger and stronger. #HappyRakshaBandhan, Tai!”
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also shared a picture with his sisters and called himself ‘Ganguji.’
Ajinkya Rahane, who is currently gearing up for the fourth Test match against England expressed his love for his sister by calling her the ‘best sister one could ask for’ and wished her a Happy Raksha Bandhan.
Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman also took to Twitter to wish everyone on the occasion. “When brothers and sisters live miles away from each other, a simple thread keeps holding the affectionate relationship between them! Wishing you a very blessed and Happy Raksha Bandhan,” he wrote.
