A disciplined approach in both departments enabled Team India to win the first ODI against Australia. Kedar Jadhav’s spirited performance both with the bat and the ball was the highlight of India’s win while Dhoni’s responsible half-century and Indian bowlers’ accurate bowling played a key role as well. And the cricket fraternity appreciated the hosts for this win in the IND vs AUS 1st ODI on Twitter.

Jadhav stars in a low-scoring encounter

The Hyderabad pitch was slow contrary to the expectations and it tested the batsmen from both the teams. Indian bowlers made the most of the conditions to restrict Australia to 236 runs as Mohammad Shami bowled superbly while Ravindra Jadeja kept a lid on the scoring rate. Kuldeep Yadav chipped in two wickets as well as the visitors failed to put up a respectable total.

However Aussie bowlers pushed India on the backfoot by removing inform batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the 21st over. The subsequent departure of Rayadu added to India’s woes but Kedar Jadhav rose to the occasion to deliver another match-winning innings.

The right-hand batsman tagged with Dhoni and steered India home unscratched in the 49th over. Dhoni scored vital 59 runs while Jadhav remained unbeaten on 89 runs.
