A controlled innings by Kedar Jadhav and a disciplined effort by the bowling department enabled India to pocket the first ODI against Australia.

Although the result was frustrating for the Aussies, there were plenty of positives for them in the first ODI and they will be looking to capitalise on it in theĀ IND vs AUS 2nd ODI.

Both teams will look to atone the mistakes done in the first ODI and these three players will play a crucial role for their respective sides.

#3. Adam Zampa-

The leg-spinner had a quiet T20I series but he rose to the occasion when the pitch supported him in the first ODI. Zampa wasn’t decisive at Hyderabad but he got the big wicket of Virat Kohli and this is what he is known to do- create special moments.

In the second ODI too he will have a similar role to play and Australia will hope that he keeps the game in check in the middle overs.

His battle against Kohli will be worth watching and it might once again decide the fate of the match.

#2. Rohit Sharma-

It is not often that Rohit Sharma has a lean patch with the bat but he currently is having one. In the last seven international innings he has scored only one fifty and hence India will be expecting a big score from him in the second ODI.

Rohit looked good in the first ODI until he threw his wicket in the 21st over and in the second ODI he will look to correct this mistake.

#1. Virat Kohli-

The good news for Australia is that Virat Kohli hasn’t scored a hundred in the last five ODI innings but the bad news is that his lowest score in these matches has been 43.

In the last few innings the Indian skipper has failed to convert starts into a big score which is uncharacteristic of him and he will be itching to get back to the triple figure mark in the second ODI.
