Jaydev Unadkat IND vs AUS: In an important news development, India have not included left-arm pace bowler Jaydev Unadkat in the playing XI for the second Test match against Australia being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. On a typical Indian pitch, India defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs during the opening Test match in Nagpur. India took a 1-0 lead in the four-match Test series to bring the visitors under extreme pressure.
Incidentally, Jaydev Unadkat was released from the India Test squad just after the first Test match against Australia in order to let the left-arm pacer play for his Saurashtra state team in the Ranji Trophy final encounter against Bengal. Saurashtra captain Unadkat ended up picking as many as three wickets in the first innings as Bengal bundled out for a total of 174 runs in the first innings. Earlier, the 31-year-old made his long-awaited comeback in Test cricket in Bangladesh after some consistent performances with the ball in domestic cricket over a long period. He claimed as many as 3 wickets in the second Test match against Bangladesh. On the other hand, India are once again playing the fast bowling duo of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj in this second Test against Australia.
