Suryakumar Yadav first ball SIX: Ahead of the all-important ICC T20 World Cup 2021, India has chosen do some experimentation in giving opportunities to the some new names in the ongoing T20I series against England at home. The visiting England team is currently leading the five-match India vs England T20I series by 2-1 and thus, the hosts desperately need to bounce back strongly in the ongoing fourth T20I match to keep the series alive. However, it is a fact that the Indian youngsters have shown that fearless attitude in their batting approach in the series so far which is really important in the shortest format of the game and this is a great sign for the Men in Blue.
After losing another toss and being asked to bat first, Indian opener Rohit Sharma got his team off to an incredible start as he smashed a brilliant six off the first ball of the match bowled by England leg-spinner Adil Rashid. However, Jofra Archer soon removed Rohit by taking an excellent return catch off his own bowling and then entered Suryakumar Yadav who was included in the side for the injured Ishan Kishan. While batting for the first time in international cricket, Suryakumar played an extraordinary hook shot for a first ball six off Archer’s steaming 143.9 kph delivery.
Suryakumar will be looking to make full use of this golden opportunity as he has been sent ahead of the in-form Virat Kohli. And in a great news for his fans, the right-hander is looking in a great touch.
Despite poor scores of 1, 0 and 0 in the last 3 T20Is, India once again gave another opportunity to KL Rahul in the fourth T20I. However, the opener could only score 14 runs off 17 balls before getting dismissed by Ben Stokes.
