Virat Kohli stumped: Team India got off to a decent start with them scoring over 40 runs for the fall of one wicket. Some impressive shots by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul did impress, but it’s Suryakumar Yadav who has caught the eye with his streaky boundaries.
The Mumbai Indians batsman was looking to build a partnership with KL Rahul, but it was Ben Stokes slower delivery which got Rahul dismissed. With the in-form Virat Kohli walking in next, there was plenty of excitement to see newcomer Suryakumar Yadav bat in tandem with his skipper.
However, the expectations were short lived as Virat Kohli was quickly stumped for just one run against Adil Rashid. The wrist spinner invited Kohli to come down the track, and completely deceived him in the process by bowling a googly. The ball went right through him, as Jos Buttler collected the ball and dislodged the bails to get the dangerous Virat Kohli out cheaply.
Just when it seemed that the Men in Blue were getting a strong hold of the game, the Three Lions have sprung their way back. Regardless of the fall of wickets, Team India still do have a deep batting line up which can cause some serious damage.
The fourth T20I is a must win for the hosts if they are are to stay alive in the series. Meanwhile, the number one team in the ICC T20I rankings will be keen on wrapping it up later tonight as they look to build momentum and confidence for the ICC World T20 later this year. Nevertheless, we can expect a quality game of cricket between two very good cricketing teams.
