IND vs ENG

IND vs ENG 3rd T20I: After comprehensively beating Team India in the first T20I, England were expected to walk in with a bit of a swagger in the second game as well. However, that didn’t seem to be the case as the Indians bounced back in resounding manner and secured a comfortable seven-wicket win.

England batted first and posted a sub par total of 164 for the fall of six wickets in 20 overs of play. Jason Roy topped the charts with a knock of 46 from 35 deliveries. Jonny Bairstow,  Ben Stokes and Eoin Morgan did get starts, but failed to convert them into big scores, courtesy some tight bowling by the Indians.

The visitors failed to impress in the second innings as well, as the Men in Blue went on to chase the target with 13 balls and seven wickets to spare. It was quite evident that Morgan and the rest of the England players missed out on the services of Mark Wood in the second T20I. The express fast  bowler did cause the Indian batsmen a few problems in the 1st game, but is in now in doubt to start due to an injury.

Tom Curran was brought in place of Wood, but was taken to the cleaners  by Ishan Kishan as he conceded 26 runs in his two over spell. There is a chance he gets replaced by all rounder Moeen Ali or Mark Wood, depending on his fitness.

Nevertheless, The England unit could opt for a few tweaks to ensure their superiority in the remaining fixtures.
