Amidst all the doom and gloom, there’s something to cheer about for England fans. As per reports in English media, superstar fast bowler Jofra Archer has started bowling in the nets, which suggests that he could be fit for the first T20I.

The 25-year-old had to sit out the fourth test due to pain in the elbow, but there was no discomfort as he bowled in the nets on Sunday and Monday.

“Jofra’s elbow did flare up a little bit and the medical staff are managing that at the moment”

“Obviously we’ll monitor his progress. The medical staffs are talking about how we deal with this long term. He’s trained today with the white-ball squad. We’ll be monitoring his situation,” England Head Coach Chris Silverwood told ESPNCricinfo.
