IND vs SL: The Indian team once again sealed yet another bilateral series at home in their favour as they defeated Sri Lanka in the second ODI match by a margin of 4 wickets in Kolkata. After having won the T20I series, the Men in Blue have now taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match ODI series as well. India will be facing Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI game on 15 January, 2023 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

IND vs SL: Kuldeep Yadav to miss out after Yuzvendra Chahal fit for India vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI?

After having suffered with a sore right shoulder, India’s premier leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was not available for selection in the second ODI match against Sri Lanka and that helped Kuldeep Yadav to make a comeback in the playing XI. Kuldeep ended up delivering a sensational Man of the Match performance where he registered impressive figures of 3 for 51 from his quota of 10 overs. However, with Chahal reportedly fit for the third and final ODI game on Sunday, it will be quite unfortunate that the left-arm wrist spinner might have to once again warm the bench.

On the other hand, Chahal has not been picking up wickets on regular basis in the middle-overs during the last few white-ball matches. There are chances that India might go in with Kuldeep Yadav as their leg-spinner in the playing 11 during the 3rd ODI.
