KL Rahul IND vs ZIM: In a massive breaking news update, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced that KL Rahul is completely fit and has been added to the India squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. It has also been confirmed that Rahul has replaced senior India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan as the captain of the team for the Zimbabwe ODIs and the former will be his deputy. India will be facing Zimbabwe in the first of the three ODIs on 18 August, 2022 at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

The BCCI has announced that star batsman KL Rahul has now completely recovered from his groin injury and will be available for selection in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. The right-hander has been out of competitive cricket since the conclusion of the IPL 2022 season. Rahul was scheduled to return for the recently concluded five-match T20I series against West Indies but could not make it after having tested positive for Covid-19. He has also been announced as India’s vice-captain in the T20 squad picked for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.

The upcoming ODI series in Zimbabwe will give KL Rahul some crucial game-time on the field before the all-important Asia Cup 2022 tournament. All the three ODIs against Zimbabwe will be played at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.
