Mohammed Siraj IND vs ZIM: In an important news update, India’s premier pace bowler Mohammed Siraj is not playing the third and final ODI encounter against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. Team India defeated Zimbabwe by a convincing margin of 5 wickets in the second ODI game. The KL Rahul-led side have already sealed the three-match ODI series in their favour by taking an unassailable lead of 2-0.

IND vs ZIM: Why is Mohammed Siraj Not Playing Today?

After winning his third consecutive toss and choosing to bat first, Indian captain KL Rahul revealed that Mohammed Siraj misses out for today’s 3rd ODI against Zimbabwe. The in-form speedster has been rested after bowling really well during the first two ODI matches against Zimbabwe and even skipper KL Rahul talked about his growth and maturity as a bowler in the limited-overs format of the game. Siraj might not have picked up a lot wickets in the last couple of games but he has bowled consistent lengths to trouble the opposition batsmen.

“We’ll bat first. Just want to challenge ourselves. I’ve been short of playing time so I’m eager to get some runs and spend time in the middle. Siraj has been very good for the last couple of seasons, he’s done well for his franchise and he’s brought that form into the ODI game as well. He’s very good when there’s a bit of moment in the surface. Couple of changes – Siraj and Prasidh miss out, Deepak Chahar and Avesh Khan come in,” said India captain KL Rahul during the toss.
