Both these teams will also play as many as two Test matches with the final game of the tour being a day-night Test match in Bengaluru.

India vs Sri Lanka 2022: Deepak Chahar to miss Sri Lanka T20Is?

During the third and final T20I match against West Indies, India’s Deepak Chahar pulled off his right hamstring and he subsequently failed to even complete his quota of four overs. Before the injury happened, Chahar ended up picking two crucial wickets of both the Windies openers, Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope. Even though the extent of the seamer’s injury is yet to be revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Deepak Chahar is very much unlikely to be available for the Sri Lanka T20I series.

A report by India Today has stated that Chahar has suffered a grade one tear in his right hamstring and will need atleast six weeks to recover completely from the injury. This also means that he will have to miss the initial stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season as well that will be a big blow for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) who bought him for a massive amount of INR 14 Crore in the recent IPL 2022 auction.
