India upcoming matches: After the much-talked T20 World Cup 2022 debacle, the Indian Cricket Team has now shifted its focus towards the 50-overs World Cup scheduled to be played at home next year. The Men in Blue recently travelled to New Zealand where they won the T20I series but ended up losing the ODI series. In the upcoming 2023 calendar year, India will be playing a lot of 50-overs cricket in order to prepare well for the mega event and end their long-awaited ICC title drought.
The Indian team is now scheduled to visit Bangladesh where they will be playing as many as 3 ODIs and a short two-match Test series starting with the opening ODI game on 4 December, 2022. The Bangladesh vs India second and final Test match will begin from 22 December, 2022. After the Bangladesh tour, India will be playing hosts to Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI series and 3 T20I games starting in January 2023. The New Zealand team will then travel to India where both the teams will be playing as many as 3 ODIs and 3 T20I matches.
Before the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), India will also host Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will be a four-match Test series followed by 3 ODI games in February – March 2023.
