India’s Lowest Score in T20 – India have had some embarassing performances over the years in the shortest format of the game in T20Is. They did win the inaugural edition of the T20 world cup but they haven’t touched their hands on the trophy since then and 6 world cups have happened since then.
India have a very good win loss ratio in this format and are one of the best teams in this format at the moment. Let’s take a look at some of their low scores in this format over the years.
India’s lowest ever score in the T20Is came against the Australians in their own den in the Melbourne cricket ground in the year 2008. India were the world champions then as they had won the T20 world cup just months before that game and India were nowhere near the quality of that Australian team that day.
India missed the services of Yuvraj Singh who was the most destructive T20 batter for India then and they were bundled out for just 74 runs. Irfan Pathan was the only batter from the Indian side who managed to cross the double digit. The all rounder scored 26 off 30 balls. Australia managed to hunt down the target inside 12 overs and won the game by 9 wickets.
