IPL 2021: Axar Patel joins Delhi Capitals squad, available for next DC match?

Axar Patel IPL : The Delhi Capitals have won 3 out of their 4 league matches are on a winning momentum. The batting department of the team has been shining bright with terrific performances. The opener Shikhar Dhawan is the leading run-scorer of the tournament, while Prithvi Shaw is also looking in good touch. In the bowling unit, Amit Mishra and Avesh Khan have been impressive. The bench strength, particularly pace bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma. Anrich Nortje are on the sidelines. They gave got another reason to smile, as Axar Patel will be available for the next match.

Axar Patel joins DC Squad

The Indian all-rounder Axar Patel was found covid positive on April 3 and had to follow quarantine before joining the camp once again. After that, he was said to be transferred to BCCI’s designated medical facility for proper treatment. He then showed mild symptoms and has finally returned covid negative and has joined the team in Chennai. The video was posted by the official Delhi Capitals on social media and was captioned, “Smiles and hugs all around as Bapu returned to the DC camp”. “Oh, how we missed you, @akshar.patel”. The all-rounder was seen interacting with Ishant Sharma and was seen saying “Aadmi dekh ke hi toh mujhe maza aa raha hai”.

Will Axar Patel play in the next match?

The Delhi Capitals have already been quality cricket in the tournament. Although Amit Mishra has performed quite well for the team, Ashwin has not been able to pick enough wickets. The all-rounder after getting a proper hit at the nets can replace Ashwin in the Playing XI. The Delhi Capitals play their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 25.
