The IPL schedule for the 2021 season is out and rested some rumours about the venues that will be the host this season. The IPL 2021 Schedule has six cities, namely Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, and Ahemdabad in which the matches will take place. All the matches will be played in a neutral venue, and none of the teams will get the home advantage this year. The IPL date is fixed as 9 April and the final will be played on 30 May.
Mumbai Indians will face-off Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first match of the IPL 2021. The IPL Time Table clarifies that the knock-out matches will be played in Ahmedabad. All the teams have 5 matches at the neutral venues.

There were media reports that the Punjab, Rajasthan, and Hyderabad are not satisfied with the venues chosen to host the IPL 2021. Even politicians entered into a round of debate about the IPL 2021 Schedule. The teams complained about the home advantage of the teams hosting the matches.
“We three teams will be badly affected. The teams doing well are the ones who do well at home, win five or six home games and a few away, and that will take you through to the play-offs. Those five teams (Royals Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Mumbai Indians) will have the home advantage, we will have to put up with all away game,” a franchise official said.

The IPL 2021 Time Table is out and the tournament will soon be starting early in the next month. The franchises have said their training camp will start from mid-March. The IPL 2021 will be played without fans due to the rising cases of COVID-19. The BCCI announced the schedule and posted the IPL 2021 PDF on the IPL Website.
“After hosting the tournament safely and successfully in the UAE last year with all safety protocols in place, the BCCI is confident of hosting the IPL at home with the health and safety of players and all people involved being paramount”. said Honorary Secretary Jay Shah of BCCI in a press release.
