IPL 2023 Auction: The auction for the upcoming season of the Indian premier league (IPL) is all set to take place on 23rd December 2022 in Kochi. 991 players from all around the world registered for the auction. However, 405 players were shortlisted to go under the hammer. The auction will begin at 2.30 PM IST.

Here’s a list of 5 Indian players who can grab a big contract at the IPL 2023 auction.

1. Narayan Jagadeesan

Narayan Jagadeesan could be one of the most expensive Indian players in the 2023 IPL auction. Jagadeesan went on an unimaginable spree of runs for the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2022. The Chennai lad scored 5 successive centuries, one after another. He also set a record by hitting 227 runs in a single inning in the 50-over format. Jagadeesan’s dream runs carried forward to Ranji Trophy as well. He scored 116 runs off 97 deliveries against Hyderabad. He previously represented CSK in IPL. CSK will surely look to bring the young guy back into the fold.

2. Jaydev Unadkat

Jaydev Unadkat led his domestic team, Saurashtra, to two domestic titles this year. Saurashtra won the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2022 under Jaydev’s leadership. Unadkat previously grabbed a huge contract with the Rajasthan Royals but failed to deliver. However, is very likely to fetch a high price in the IPL 2023 auctions.

3. Sheldon Jackson

Another Saurashtra player, Sheldon Jackson, is likely to go big in IPL 2023 auction. Sheldon led his team to a victory with a crucial ton in the finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. In 2022, Jackson played for KKR and got a few games. However, this year, many teams could target the batter to strengthen their middle order.
