Cameron Green of Australia, who will make his IPL debut in the upcoming season, will demand a high pay in the IPL 2023 Auction because of his stunning batting performance against India shortly before the World Cup. The 23-year-old replaced Josh Inglis, who was injured, for the ICC T20 World Cup after scoring two quickfire fifties against India in October. Green is a skilled batter, but he can also bowl. In ODIs, he has a five-wicket haul against Zimbabwe in August 2022.

4. Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes will rejoin the IPL after withdrawing from the previous season to concentrate on his mental health. According to history, the 31-year-old will likely be among the costliest purchases made during the upcoming auction. Stokes was the most expensive purchase made during the 2017 IPL auction as RR paid 14.5 crores for him. Stokes contributed with the ball and a game-winning innings for England against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup final. His all-around skills are unmatched; thus, the teams would be willing to pay a little bit more to use him.

5. Sam Curran

Sam Curran, whose outstanding all-round performance made him the player of the 2022 T20 World Cup, will probably be one of the most expensive purchases of the auction. Curran, who represented CSK from 2020 to 2021, missed the 2022 IPL season while undergoing rehabilitation and will be available this auction as CSK decided not to retain him. Due to his 3-wicket haul in the finals, he was also named player of the finals. Curran became the first English cricketer to take five wickets in a T20I match.
