IPL Captain of All Teams for upcoming 2022 edition


IPL Captain – The IPL 2022 has got bigger and better with 10 teams participating to make it a 10 team competition since 2012. The 10 teams are divided into two groups and the schedule for the same is expected to be out any minute now.

One of the most important things that teams will be looking at, is their captain to lead from the front. Several teams before the auction were looking for a new captain and quite a few teams had already retained their captains as well.

Now, with almost all the teams confirming their captain for IPL 2022 season, let’s take a look at them.

Punjab Kings (earlier Kings XI Punjab) is one of the most unsuccessful franchises in the history of IPL. They have literally tried everything with no luck. The fact that they are the team with least number of playoffs appearances tells a story.

They have performed extraordinarily well in the recently concluded mega auction and have assembled a magnificent team and a squad under their disposal. The last missing piece of the puzzle was that they needed to zero in on a captain who could lead them through thick and thin, and they have officially announced that Mayank Agarwal, who was one of their only 2 retained players as the captain of the side.

IPL 2022 Start Date

IPL 2022 will Kickstart on March 26 and the final is set to happen on 29th of May. Australian players will not be available for the first week of the tournament as they will be playing against Pakistan in Pakistan. Some of the England player will be unavailable initially as well as they have tests against West Indies.
