Josh Hazlewood Replacement: The CSK team will start their campaign on 10 April against Delhi Capitals. A day before, it was confirmed that the member of the CSK content team is found positive. But, it is said that he did not have any interaction or contact with the players in the camp. Josh Hazlewood replacement for IPL 2021 confirmed?

Due to the rising cases in the state of Maharashtra, the CSK franchise is finding it difficult to find replacement for pacer Josh Hazlewood. It is being said that the England pacer Reece Topley who was a part of the England ODI team against India, and the Australian pacer Billy Stanlake have reportedly turned down the offer of the franchise. The COVID cases are certainly the main factor behind the players reluctant to play in the IPL 2021.

“Many of them have contracts with English county teams and the permissions aren’t forthcoming due to the rising number of Covid cases,” a source close to the developments told TOI. However, CSK are still trying to include a quality replacement. “We may have to go for a wildcard and may get one soon enough. But the problems do persist,” the source added.

In the IPL 2020, Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad were found to be positive that certainly impacted the practice sessions of the players.

Moeen Ali– The experienced player who has been a consistent performer in the T20 format will be the 3rd overseas pick in absence of Lungi Ngidi for the first match.

Dwayne Bravo– The champion player has helped the team to win IPL title trophies in the past and will be useful in finishing well for the team with the bat.
