WTC Final

WTC Final: The final countdown to the World Test Championship Final (WTC) has begun. This is the game where the annals of the cricket books will write songs about the inaugural champions. And that reason alone adds weight to this particular encounter. This is the game that needs no extra ingredient but players, current and yesteryear, fans and the so-called pundits, all are entitled to their opinions and they all are adding fuel to the already big fire, by making predictions and picking their favourite team. Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler, Pat Cummins, has chosen his side ahead of the IND vs NZ WTC Final and Indian cricket fans won’t like a bit what he has said.

Who will win WTC Final between India and New Zealand?

Pat Cummins is of the opinion that the wet conditions in England may work in favour of New Zealand. It’s a perception that the Kiwis play better in conditions that favour pace bowlers, while Indians are more accustomed to spin-friendly conditions.

“It is going to be a good match. I think there has been a lot of rain in England from what I have seen in the news. I think, in terms of conditions, it is probably close to New Zealand conditions,” Cummins said during a question-and-answer session on YouTube.

However, Cummins shied away from picking a clear winner and highlighted both teams’ lack of action leading up to the game as the reason why the one-off WTC Final is there for the taking.

“We have seen both teams not having played test matches for a couple of months. So it’s a one-off. Anything can happen. I will sit on the bench,” said Cummins who is in quarantine at the moment.

“If I say anything, the conditions should probably suit New Zealand more than India.”
