KKR vs DC IPL 2022: Why is Anrich Nortje Not Playing Today?
In a big blow for the Delhi Capitals, right-arm fast bowler Anrich Nortje is not playing today’s game against KKR, however, there is still no clear update regarding his unavailability. Nortje played his first competitive game in the IPL 2022 season against Lucknow Super Giants after having been ruled out of action since the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE. After bowling two waist-height no balls in the last game against Lucknow, the South African speedster was forced to be removed without completing his full quota of four overs.
Anrich Nortje ended with expensive figures of 0 for 35 in his 2.2 overs and the main reason for his unavailability in this game might be that he is yet to regain complete match fitness. Left-arm pace bowler Khaleel Ahmed who bowled excellently well in the starting few games has been included in the DC playing 11.
