Virat Kohli six: Team India were looking at the abyss the way things started out for them in the third T20I. The Men in Blue had lost three wickets for under a score of 30 in the first six overs, with Mark Wood causing major damage.
However, that’s where the Indian skipper displayed his true class for the umpteenth time. Virat Kohli put the pressure back on the English bowlers as he smashed a quick fire 77 runs from just 46 deliveries.
One of the contests to watch was between Kohli and Wood in the 17th over. The fast bowler had put the Indian batsmen under the pump, but Kohli didn’t shy away from a challenge as he struck two sixes and a boundary in that particular over. Other than that, he also executed his signature flick towards the stands on Jofra Archer’s over.
He was provided support from Rishabh Pant who scored a respectable knock of 25 (20) before tragically getting run out. Later, it was Hardik Pandya who stood strong alongside his skipper and was involved in a partnership of 70 runs from just 35 balls. The Men in Blue ended up putting up a fighting total of 156 for the fall of six wickets from 20 overs of play.
