Rishabh Pant run out: Just when Team India were looking to pave their way back into the game, a suicidal mix up between Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant led to another huge wicket for the visitors.
Having cut the ball towards deep point, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli called for two and did complete the two. In the return throw, Jos Buttler tried to ricochet the ball towards the stumps as it missed. Both Kohli and Pant tried to take advantage of it and scampered for a third run.
But Jos Buttler collected and threw the bowler towards the bowlers end, as Curran gathered the ball and dislodged the stumps which put Pant’s dive in vain. England were gifted a big wicket which once again puts them a pole position in the game.
The wicket keeper batsman played a decent knock of 25 from 20 deliveries and was looking to get momentum back in India’s favor.
With the way how things are going, England are looking to restrict India to a below par score and the match could go down the same route as the first one. Mark Wood has been the clear cut standout with his pace and bounce.
Nevertheless, it could turn out to be an intriguing affair.
