Sachin’s first and last day of batting in international cricket- 15th November

The legendary cricketer started his international career on 15th November 1989. He made his debut against arch-rivals Pakistan and interestingly at an age of just 16 years faced one the most lethal pace batteries in Test cricket- Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis.

Tendulkar didn’t make any significant impact in his first outing in international cricket. He was dismissed for just 15 runs in the first innings and didn’t get a chance to bat in the second innings.

24 years later, on the same day, the master blaster batted for the last time in international cricket. On his home ground Mumbai, Sachin batted beautifully against Windies but to his fans’ disappointment was out for 74 runs.

In a career spanning across two decades, the Indian cricketer scored more than 30 thousand international runs and slammed 100 international hundreds. By the time he retired from international cricket, Sachin owned most of the records for batting.
