PSL 2022: Liam Livingstone OUT of the tournament? Here's official update

LAH vs PES: In a big breaking news, Peshawar Zalmi’s overseas all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been ruled out for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 due to injury. The Peshawar Zalmi side have already qualified for the playoffs in this edition of the Pakistan Super League T20. In the last league game of PSL 2022, the Lahore Qalandars will be facing the Peshawar Zalmi at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 21 February.

LAH vs PES: Liam Livingstone OUT of PSL 2022?

In a big blow, Peshawar Zalmi will miss the services of Liam Livingstone in the penultimate stage of the tournament. During the previous match against Islamabad United, Livingstone got hurt on his hand while fielding in the second innings. The English cricketer also missed the training session subsequently and now will not be able to participate in remainder of Pakistan Super League T20 2022.

However, the explosive right-hander has failed to leave any big impact in this PSL season so far having scored just 39 and picked up two wickets from as many as 4 matches for Peshawar Zalmi. Liam Livingstone is expected to leave for England very soon.

Pakistan Super League T20 2022

In the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League 2022, the Peshawar Zalmi team has managed to win 5 out of their 9 matches so far and are slotted at the third position on the points table. The Wahab Riaz-led team has now won three games in a row against Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings. Peshawar Zalmi senior batsman Shoaib Malik has had a fabulous performance in this T20 competition having notched up a wonderful tally of 314 runs from 9 matches at an impressive average of close to 45.

On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars have registered 6 impressive wins and witnessed 3 disappointing losses, occupying the second spot in the team standings with a total of 12 points in their kitty.
