Legends Cricket T20: In a massive breaking news, the star duo of Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh are yet to arrive in Oman for the inaugural edition of the Legends League Cricket T20. India Maharajas players namely Sehwag and Yuvraj will reportedly be out of action for atleast the first two games against the Asia Lions and World Giants. The Legends League Cricket T20 kickstarts today with the opening game between India Maharajas and the Asia Lions at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman.
According to the recent media reports, the likes of Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh will miss the initial stage of the Legends Cricket T20 tournament for the India Maharajas. The star India duo who were part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup historic triumph are expected to take part in this T20 competition during the second round of games starting 24 January. Former India opener Wasim Jaffer has been added to the India Maharajas squad.
The inaugural edition of the Legends League Cricket T20 comprises of some legendary cricket stars playing for three teams namely India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants. These three teams will lock horns in a total of seven entertaining games including the big final scheduled to take place on 29 January, 2022. All the 7 matches will be played at the at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman.
The Sony Pictures Sports Network are the official broadcasters for this competition and the live streaming of the matches will also be available on the Sony LIV app.
“It feels great to remain connected with cricket in the thick of the action, especially with the Legends of the game who have been champions in their own rights. It is going to be a lot of fun with some serious cricket going. These stalwarts have nothing new to prove but they have their reputation in line and I can assure you, it will be interesting to see how they do justice to it,” said Ravi Shastri.
