In March 2018 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, India achieved its highest score of 198/4 as the Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj ran the show with an opening stand of 129 runs. While Smriti ended with 76 off 40 deliveries, while Mithali smashed 53 off 43. However, the high-scoring contest ended on a sorrowful note as India lost by seven wickets.

Playing against New Zealand at Providence Park in November 2018, India recorded its highest score in a T20I match in a winning cause. After being 40/3, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur recorded a ton as she scored 103 off 51 deliveries, which included 8 sixes and 7 fours. She batted at a strike rate above 200 and helped India reach 194/5 and win the contest by 34 runs.

Exactly a year after beating New Zealand on the same date 9 Nov 2019, India were at it again. Playing against the West Indies at the Gros Islet the Women in Blue smashed 185/4, which included a record opening stand of 143 runs. A 73-run innings from Shafali Verma and a 67-run knock from Smriti Mandhana helped Team India reach the commendable total to win the contest by 84 runs.

India’s next highest score of 177/3 in the T20I format is the highest while chasing as they beat Australia by seven wickets in February 2020. Mandhana scored a 55 off 48 while Shafali Verma missed out on a fifty as she was dismissed for 49.

3rd June 2018 saw India record its fifth highest score in the shortest format as they amassed 169/3 against Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
