MI Playing 11: The defending champions Mumbai Indians will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 9th match of IPL 2021 here at Chennai. After a loss in the first game, Mumbai Indians produced a fighting win over KKR. The way their bowlers made a comeback after a disappointing batting performance showed why they are regarded so highly among all the IPL teams. Both Mumbai and Hyderabad have produced some closely fought contests over the years. In 16 matches between these teams, both have won 8 games each. Last year too, MI and SRH won a game each which shows how tight the games have been between these two fantastic sides. After getting their opening win over KKR, Mumbai will be confident going into this game.

All the players are available for selection for Mumbai but they are likely to retain their winning combination for this match. Here is how their eleven could be shaped up for this match:

MI Playing 11 (likely)

R Sharma (C)
Q de Kock (wk)
S Yadav
I Kishan
H Pandya
K Pollard
K Pandya
M Jansen
R Chahar
T Boult
J Bumrah

Mumbai’s batting order looks solid with two quality international players leading the way at the top. With Suryakumar Yadav continuing his good form, the middle order looks settled too. Rahul Chahar’s performance in the last match was a big positive for MI before Bumrah and Boult took over. The performance reflected their bowling depth.
