While playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has now equalled Yuzvendra Chahal’s most wickets in IPL 2022 tally after having completed a total of 23 wickets this season. Hasaranga now holds the Purple Cap with a brilliant performance in this T20 tournament where he has an excellent economy of just 7.49. The Sri Lankan spinner was picked by RCB during the IPL 2022 mega auction at a high price of INR 10 Crore and he has definitely lived up to the expectations so far.

Last year’s highest wicket-taker, Harshal Patel, also has climbed to the fourth spot in the leading wicket-takers tally during the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Kagiso Rabada is placed at the third spot with as many as 19 wickets from 11 games.

For the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Harshal Patel was the pick of the bowlers taking as many as 4 wickets while Hasaranga also scalped two crucial wickets.
