Lahore Qalandars Playing 11: Lahore Qalandars will be facing Multan Sultans in PSL 2022 final as they eye their maiden title. Both teams will square off at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday evening and an exciting battle is expected to conclude the ongoing tournament. Interestingly, Qalandars are the only one of the six PSL sides who are yet to lay their hands on the trophy.
Led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Qalandars finished the league stage in the second spot on the back of six wins and four defeats in ten encounters. In the Qualifier clash, they suffered 28 runs defeat against Multan Sultans before they knocked Islamabad United out of the tournament by a dramatic last over 6 runs victory in the second Eliminator to book in the final.
They boast a destructive batting order featuring Fakhar Zaman and Philip Salt at the top and experienced campaigners Mohammad Hafeez and David Wiese in the middle order. Qalandars also have one of the most potent bowling attacks in the tournament in the form of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.
This will be the fourth time both teams will face each other in the ongoing season. While Multan Sultans have managed two wins, Lahore Qalandars have managed one win — the sole defeat for Multan Sultans in this season.
