NED Playing 11 ODI World Cup 2023: After playing the ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, Netherlands will directly play their first ODI match ever since in the World Cup 2023. Netherlands qualified for the mega event after emerging as one of the top two sides in the qualifying tournament earlier this year.
They were one of two sides alongside Sri Lanka to make it to the grandest stage of them all. During the Super Six, Netherlands defeated West Indies in a Super Over. They finished second in the Super Six points table pipping Zimbabwe, Scotland, West Indies, and Oman in the process.
However, they lost the final to Sri Lanka by 128 runs but they already had qualified for the multinational event in India by then. It is a no-secret that Netherlands are the weakest team in this World Cup but the Orange Army will be eager to show their mettle against the big players of the game.
Netherlands will be up against Pakistan in their first game on 6th October Friday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. They will look to put up a fight against the Asian giants to set a tone for the rest of the tournament.
