No Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma in Dilshan’s Best ODI XI

One of the iconic openers in the Sri Lankan cricket history in Tillakaratne Dilshan has picked an all time ODI XI of his choice that includes as many as 3 Sri Lankans in it. One of the most belligerent opener of his time has over 10k runs in his ODI career which is not a small feat by any means.

The fearless right hander started his career as a middle order batsman due to the abundance of options available for the Sri Lankans at that time at the top of the order.

After the retirement of the veteran all rounder in Sanath Jayasuriya, the void was filled by Dilshan who made most of the opportunity and finished his career as an all time great in the history of Sri Lankan cricket.

Surprise omission of Virat Kohli

India have produced quite a few greatest batsmen in the history of ODI cricket and the present Indian captain is one among them. He will be a direct entrant in most of the all time ODI XIs but Dilshan has decided otherwise. The veteran opener picks his Sri Lankan teammate Sanath Jayasuriya along with the master blaster in Sachin Tendulkar to open the innings.

He stacked up his middle order with absolute legends of the game with the likes of Brian Lara, Mahela Jayawardene, and Ricky Ponting.

Two legendary South Africans in Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers complete Dilshan's dynamic batting order. He also gave the wicket keeping duties to Mr.360 which makes his team more versatile.

Proven performers in the bowling line up

The West Indian bowling great Courtney Walsh and Pakistan's greatest bowler to date in Wasim Akram will be forming a lethal bowling combination in Dilshan's all time XI. The spin bowling department will be handled by two of arguably greatest spin bowlers of all time in Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne.
