New Zealand vs India first ODI

India is all set to tour New Zealand for the white-ball series after the T20 World Cup 2022. The series will kick start with the T20I series, to be played between 18th November to 22nd November. After that both teams will lock horns in the three-match ODI series, that will be played from 25th November to 30th November.

Shikhar Dhawan is yet again handed the responsibility to lead the ODI side in the absence of big players. There’s no brainer that he’ll open the innings and with him it is expected that Shubman Gill will retain the opening spot.

Suryakumar Yadav is likely to bat at No.3 for India in the ODI series against New Zealand whereas Shreyas Iyer, who has been on terrific form in the 50-over format is likely to continue batting at No.4. Rishabh Pant who has been named as the vice captain is expected to bat No.5 with Sanju Samson set to play the finisher’s role at No.6.

Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur are likely to be the two all-rounders in the team with Yuzvendra Chahal being the spinner in the side. Whereas Deepak Chahar along with Arshdeep Singh will handle the pace bowling department.
