The Pakistan team has generally been in the news regarding the team selection controversies. A few months back, Mohammad Amir announced his retirement from international cricket due to a lack of support by the team management and the selectors. Currently, South Africa has visited Pakistan to play the test and T20I matches. The test series has been completed with Pakistan winning both the matches. In the first T20I, Pakistan won the match by 3 runs, with Mohammad Rizwan scoring a century. He then became the second Pakistan batsman to score a T20I century. Mohammad Hafeez took a dig at Sarfaraz Ahmed on Twitter by asking how long Rizwan has to prove that he is the no. 1 wicketkeeper-batsman in all the formats of the game.

Sarfaraz Ahmed responded to the tweets by Mohammad Hafeez

Sarfaraz Ahmed responds by saying that all the wicket-keepers who have represented the Pakistan team are no.1.

He also tweeted that he is behind Rizwan to bring Laurels to the Pakistan team.

Mohammad Amir also reacted to the tweets by saying, he is also the no.1 wicket-keeper batsman and under his leadership, the team stayed in top position in the T20I rankings for 2 years.

Rameez Raja took a jibe on Hafeez tending to avoid the protocol

Hafeez after being in a solid form in the short format chose his T10 contract as his priority and missed the bio-bubble deadline for the series happening against South Africa in Pakistan. He was dropped from the 20 man squad, due to his unavailability.

Former Pakistan cricketer turner commentator said, “International teams are now coming to Pakistan so it is imperative that everyone religiously follows Covid-19 protocols. Among those playing in T10 League, Asif Ali is coming but not Mohammad Hafeez because he doesn’t want to end his contract. This shows the level of thinking because, considering the situation, we should be prepared to follow the necessary protocols even if there are last-minute changes.”
