England Playing 11 for PAK vs ENG 3rd Test: In a big breaking news update, the visiting England team have once again announced their official playing 11 on the eve of the third and final Test match against Pakistan scheduled to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi from 17 December, 2022. England have already gained an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match Test series after having registered two amazing victories in the opening two Test matches against Pakistan. It is a huge moment in the history of England cricket as they have managed to win a Test series in Pakistan during their first tour after a total of 17 years.
The visiting England team have named their playing XI for the 3rd Test match against Pakistan and the big news is that senior pace bowler James Anderson is not part of the side. The 40-year-old English pacer has bowled well having picked up as many as 8 wickets in the two Test matches against Pakistan on pitches that had much less assistance for the fast bowlers. On the other hand, 18-year-old leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed will be making his Test debut for England in the final Test match starting from Saturday. The right-arm leggie has played just 3 first-class matches where he has taken 9 wickets at an average of 30.11.
England speedster Mark Wood who played a crucial role in his team’s victory during the second Test against Pakistan, is absolutely fit to play the third Test as well. Wood ended up picking a total of 6 wickets which included a vital four-wicket haul in the second innings. England’s first-choice wicket-keeper batsman Ben Foakes also returns to the Test playing 11 after having missed the first two matches where Ollie Pope donned the wicket-keeping duties. Incidentally, England are not playing Will Jacks who picked up an amazing 6-wicket haul on debut in the first Test.
