Pakistan cricketer Shadab Khan accused by girl for blackmailing her over nudes

Pakistan Super League starts this week and the controversies have started rolling in! Shadab Khan, youngest ever captain for team Islamabad United has landed himself in hot water after a woman has accused the cricketer of blackmailing her. In a lengthy Instagram post, Dubai-based girl, Ashreena Safia , shared how Shadab Khan has approached her and is now threatening her to leak her nudes if she decides to address the dating rumours.

Shadab Khan threatens Ashreena Safia

When a photo clicked by a Pakistani journalist was circulated widely in the public, Shadab Khan began threatening Safia. She said that he had gone to every extent from stopping her from addressing these rumours by contacting her from different numbers. She also said that Shadab Khan even threatened her that if she ever mentioned about their relationship, he would expose her and leak all her private pictures.

Ashreena shared this post on Instagram with caption:

Yes, I see all the messages you guys send and it is very hard for me to accept but here we are. This is personal/vulnerable for me to share but I have a platform Alhamdulillah to do right. I’m sorry to all the girls who reached out for help when they were used and taken advantage of by the person I was with. I’ve been dealing with this since I moved to Dubai. Shadab is probably the first guy I’ve cared about so deeply and it’s hard to process this still. In the post, the girl alleges that she went on to meet Shadab in different countries several times and the cricketer had met her. The post also includes number of screenshots from the online chat between the two. Ashreena went on to add videos and pictures of the two. Shadab Khan is yet to address the allegations.

Not the First Time

This is not the first instance of Pakistani cricketers being exposed by women.. In the past, Pakistan cricketers like Imam-ul-Haq and Shaheen Shah Afridi have made the news for the same reason. There were charges laid against Imam-ul-Haq for cheating with multiple women after screenshots of his WhatsApp conversations went viral on social media. On the other hand, Shaheen Shah Afridi was accused of exposing himself to a lady while being on a video call.
